Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Support with activities of daily living (ADLs) refers to helping individuals build their capacity to perform essential self-care tasks necessary for everyday life—ADLs typically include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.
Improve independence with Self-care tasks: Our therapists can help individuals with self-care tasks such as showering, brushing teeth, and wearing clean clothes. We will work on increasing their independence and capacity with these tasks. We will also help individuals identify and overcome any barriers preventing them from completing these tasks independently.
Increasing capacity with developing independent living skills at home and community: We can help individuals develop the skills they need to live independently at home and in the community. This will help them to become more self-sufficient and improve their overall quality of life. Our occupational therapists will work with individuals to identify barriers preventing them from living independently and develop strategies to overcome them.
Self-management activities

Using public transport: We can work with individuals to develop the skills to use public transport safely and independently. This will help them to increase their mobility and access to the community. Our occupational therapists will work with individuals to identify barriers preventing them from using public transport and develop strategies to overcome them.
